詩人醫生陳克華及其兄長為了紀念父親陳壽軒醫師，於2017年3月15日以其父本名「蘭印」完成藝廊登記，並於2018年2月25日正式營運，期待為故鄉花蓮市營造一個溫馨的文藝空間。陳壽軒醫師自1949年隨國防醫院遷台後，畢生皆在花蓮行醫，閒暇之餘除了愛好收集花蓮奇石外，也摘種了上千株各類蘭花；因此以「蘭印」命名藝廊別具意義。

The Orchid Seal Gallery was founded on March 2017 by Chen Keh-miin an his brother Chen Ko-hua, an ophthalmologist and  famous contemporary Chinese poet of Taiwan. The purpose of the establishment of this Gallery is to commemorate their father who had devoted most of his life to the medical service in Hualien city, eastern part of Taiwan. Collecting stones and taking care of orchids were the main hobbies of their father; therefore this Gallery, named after their father's birth name "Lán yìn", literally means orchid seal, is very meaningful for both of them.
